Lift Truck Operator
Training Now REQUIRED!
It's the law: if you
operate lift trucks, you are now required to conduct lift truck operator
training.
OSHA's new regulations
took effect March 1, 1999. You have to train ALL of your operators
or face citations and heavy fines. Moreover, you must certify that the
required training has taken place, and document the operator's competence.
This training is complex. OSHA requires classroom work and practical hands-on
exercises, plus written evaluations of all your operators. At least 22
separate topics must be covered, as listed in the OSHA regulations.
Lift truck operator
training is a major safety issue as well. Nationally, over 6% of all lift
truck operators (95,000 workers) are injured in lift truck accidents every
year, and more than 100 die.
Help Is Available
Locally in the Tri-State Area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware)
We have two all-new
courses, fully OSHA-compliant, ready for you:
- A half- to full-day
lift truck operator training class, including practice on new equipment.
- A full-day "Train
the Trainer" program, giving a specific person of yours everything
he needs to run you own in-house training course.
These courses will:
- Substantially reduce
your accident rate and help reduce workers' compensation costs.
- Minimize damage
to inventory and property.
- Improve worker
productivity and morale.
- Solve your OSHA
lift truck operator training requirements.
