Daily Checklists saves time, saves lives.
March 31, 2010

OSHA requires a daily maintenance checklist to be done at the beginning of every shift. Along with this requirement, daily maintenance checklists help identify truck problems to our service technicians. Our technicians will save time locating the correct truck and evaluating the reported problem. Time and money can be lost when the malfunction cannot be duplicated and there is no report from the operator.

A 5,000 lb. capacity forklift weighs 8,500 lbs. unloaded. This leaves little for error if there is a mechanical malfunction. Checklists can identify trucks that need to be locked out/tagged out because of a safety issue. The last thing you need is for one your operators to unknowingly use a truck that is in need of repairs.
